THE BUILDING
A long, low concrete volume, roughly five times as wide as it is tall, sitting heavily on a raised podium.

THE FIGURE

LIGHT
Blue hour, after sunset, no sun. The dominant light comes from the building itself: the warm amber clerestory
band is the brightest thing in the picture and it is the source of every warm reflection on the wet plaza. Cool
blue-grey ambient sky light fills the concrete's upper surfaces and the far end of the plaza. Two street lamps
add small cold pools of light at the right. The two temperatures never blend — the concrete outside the window
band stays cold, the interior glow stays warm. Long soft shadows fall away from the building toward the camera.
CONSTRAINTS
