A new analysis of Insilico Medicine's Phase IIa trial found that rentosertib lowered estimated biological age across six proteomic aging clocks after 12 weeks. The analysis covered 42 patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, the disease the drug was designed to treat.
The result is preliminary: aging clocks are indirect biomarkers, the study was not a longevity trial, and the drug has not been tested for anti-aging effects in healthy people. It remains evidence to investigate, not proof that an AI-designed therapy slows human aging.
OpenAI's chief scientist says safety must constrain further scaling
OpenAI chief scientist Jakub Pachocki argued that no laboratory has solved alignment and monitoring well enough to scale frontier systems indefinitely without limits.
